Proshare Innovation Suzhou Co.,Ltd is the only high- tech company in China design and manufacturer the 3rd generation Thin Film Nanocomposite (TFN) reverse osmosis membrane and nano filtration membrane ,and become one of the few suppliers in the world produce specialty membrane .
As told by head of factory of Sinopec. the wastewater was originated from the tertiary circulating water of the FGD unit and the evaporation condensate. These two types of wastewater have the following characteristics:
1)High ammonia-nitrogen content (0.02-0.8% of ammonium sulphate)
2)High acidic(pH≤3)
3)High temperature(50℃)
Therefore, special acid and high temperature resistant membranes are required to treat this challenging water quality, based on the revolutionary TFN membrane technology that gave Proshare an opportunity.
Conventional technologies are more likely to use the ‘calcium method’ for desulphurisation, which produces calcium sulphate sludge that is treated as solid waste and requires significant energy consumption and carbon emissions.
The latest technology uses the ‘ammonia method’ for desulphurisation, and the treatment of wastewater by membrane separation reduces energy consumption, while the treated ammonium sulphate in high concentration can be used as a raw material for fertilisers, generating economic value.
Proshare customised TFN special acid-resistant and high-pressure membranes and separation and concentration device for the treatment of wastewater containing ammonium sulphate desulphurisation , achieved wastewater concentration of up to 40 times the concentration of ammonium sulphate concentration of ≥ 20% of the concentrated water, significantly reducing the subsequent evaporation and crystallisation of energy consumption, substantial cost savings for the user, the quality of the water produced by the stable to meet the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation corporate standard Q/SH 0628.2-2014 circulating water make-up water , and zero wastewater discharge has been truly achieved.
This positive result has gained subsequent orders from other subsidiaries of the group.
This membrane are also applicable to other high-temperature, highly acidic wastewater containing ammonium sulphate scenarios, such as energy, refining, chemical, metallurgical and other industries, the latest development of ammonia desulphurisation technology combined with carbon capture, co-production of ammonium sulphur, ammonium carbon and other nitrogen fertilizers can help the new energy consumption and the development of the green industry chain, in line with the national ‘dual-carbon policy’.
